Summary: In 1958, Vern Estes (pronounced Est´-is) developed a machine that could mass-produce a solid propellant model rocket engine. In 1961, due to a steady increase in orders, Vern Estes moved the company to a 77-acre tract of land on the outskirts of Penrose.
