WORLD WIDE WEB — On Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 at 6:29PM EDT, Arianespace will launch an Ariane 5 rocket with the Astra 1L and Galaxy 17 dual-satellite payload. Rocketry Planet has made arrangements to broadcast the launch live in one of our chat rooms. The webcast will begin at 6:09PM EDT, with an 44 minute launch window opening at 6:29PM EDT. 

WORLD WIDE WEB — On Sunday, March 11th, 2007 at 6:03PM EDT, Arianespace will launch an Ariane 5 rocket with a Skynet 5A and INSAT 4B dual-satellite payload.

WORLD WIDE WEB — On Saturday, February 17th, 2007 at 6:01PM EST, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will launch the ULA Delta 2 rocket carrying NASA's THEMIS mission. NASA's "Time History of Event and Macroscale Interactions during Substorms" mission will track colorful eruptions of auroras near the North Pole.

THEMIS' mission is to investigate what causes auroras in the Earth's atmosphere to dramatically change from slowly shimmering waves of light to wildly shifting streaks of color. Discovering what causes auroras to change will provide scientists with important details on how the planet's magnetosphere works and the important Sun-Earth connection.

WORLD WIDE WEB — In an widely-distributed email announcement, Snap.com today announced The SPA 100: A Selection Of 100 Sites Using Snap Preview Anywhere.  Of the 100 sites Snap.com listed as their picks to honor a few of the most interesting Snap Preview Anywhere sites, Snap.com included 10 sites in the announcement.  Rocketry Planet had the privilege of being listed fifth.

Since being released just two months ago, Snap.com has been integrated into 30,000 websites worldwide and has generated over 70 million site previews.  Because of the overwhelming response to the Snap Preview technology, WordPress has agreed to add Snap Preview Anywhere to over 600,000 websites.
