URBANA, Ohio USA — Tripoli Mid-Ohio is just a day away from their biggest launch of the year, their Memorial Day Weekend launch, only to find out that their field has been pulled out from under their feet like a cheap rug. The culprits? Agricultural inspectors.

WORLD WIDE WEB — The Tripoli Rocketry Association has ended the official resume submission period for candidates, setting the stage for the 2008 Board of Director elections.  Even with three candidates up for re-election, the candidate turnout was relatively small.

In 2003, a grassroots campaign was undertaken to put a series of commericals on the Discovery Channel during airing of the program "Rocket Challenge," a special on rocketry and LDRS. Those advertisements directed viewers to visit a website called FlyRockets.com.

PARK RIDGE, Illinois USA — Two Maine South High School juniors, just back from launching a high power model rocket for NASA's Student Launch Initiative in Huntsville, Ala., will spend the summer working directly with NASA scientists and engineers as part of a special internship program.

RALEIGH, North Carolina USA — A group of Enloe High School students won the national Sixth Annual Team America Rocketry Challenge, or TARC, on Saturday, beating 99 fellow competitors.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California USA — A team of Oaks Christian School students enjoyed huge success in the weekend finals of the Team America Rocketry Challenge, the world's largest rocket contest.

JUSTIN, Texas USA — The Northwest High School rocketry team placed 32nd Saturday at the National Team America Rocketry Challenge in Virginia. The Northwest team of three girls made up one of 100 teams competing for the $60,000 prize.

SYLVANIA, Ohio USA — The Northview Rocketeers finished 39th out of 100 teams competing in the Team America Rocketry Challenge finals, but the Sylvania high schoolers came much closer than the standings indicate.
