Waddell will be acting as PML’s online technical representative and customer contact effective Wednesday, January 21, 1998. Andy has over 20 years experience in model rocketry, and has been involved with high-power rocketry for almost 2 years. He is currently certified at Level 1 with Tripoli (TRA 2043), and intends to certify Level 2 in the summer of 1998. He has also been a long-time NAR member (NAR 52875).

Buddy Magill has been into rocketry for some 25 years, designing, building and testing model rockets of various sizes and configurations, most recently producing high power fiberglass kits for the general public under the name of BAM Industries as seen in ads in High Power Rocketry Magazine.

ALTOONA, Wisconsin USA — On Thursday of this past week, Mark Bundick, President of the National Association of Rocketry received a letter from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms' updating the issue of Low Explosives Users Permits and storage requirements. Mr. Bundick had written the BATF in September of this year requesting an exemption letter previously alluded to by BATF representatives participating in the NAFP meetings shaping high power rocketry rules and regulations.

Excerpt from the June, 1997 BATF Explosives Newsletter: ITEMS OF INTEREST Proposed Changes To Explosives Regulations: ATF has proposed to amend the regulations contained in 27 CFR Part 55. A notice of proposed rulemaking was published in the Federal Register on October 15, 1996. The proposed amendments involve requiring the explosives industry to notify local law enforcement officials and fire departments of sites where explosives are stored or manufactured, increasing the license and permit fees, elimination of the manufacturer-limited license, clarification of definitions, and amendment of the American Table of Distances to conform with the explosives industry's latest revisions.
