YARDLEY, Pennsylvania USA -- The Beast is a very high performance 4" diameter rocket specifically designed for 75mm K, L and M motors. The rocket has a 43" long 75mm motor mount that can accept up to a Kosdon 3" 7600 M motor casing. With Currens designed 0.187" thick (all 7628) FR-4 beveled fins that are designed to generate the least amount of drag during the transition to Mach, The Beast is one awesome rocket.
Along with the extra long motor mount the kit includes an aluminum tail cone/motor retainer, 54" long booster, Black Brant style conical nose cone, Rocket Man R-12 chute, kevlar shock cords, fiberglass piston system and 14" long 38mm fiberglass altimeter bay that can hold two altimeters. The Beast is a dual deployment rocket that uses machined aluminum parts so that you can screw the altimeter bay to the payload section. The nose cone features a payload section for transmitters or other tracking electronics.
Hawk Mountain kits use fins made of FR-4 All 7628 G-10. The 7628 designation indicates the G-10 is made of a finer weave than regular G-10 which makes it stronger and stiffer. The fins are also beveled. Recommended motors for this kit are the Ellis Mt M-1000, Aero Tech M1315 and the Kosdon M1845.
