GORMLEY, Ontario CAN — Cesaroni Technology Incorporated (CTI) recently hosted a motor certification test session for several new HPR motor products. Attending this test session were representatives from the Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR) Motor Certification Committee, Jack Kane (Chairman of the NAR Standards and Test Committee), and Paul Robinson and Ken Mizoi from Animal Motor Works (AMW).
Some new Pro54® motors were test fired, successfully demonstrating the Continuously Variable Delay™ system that will be introduced with the release of these motors to the market place. This system further advances the technology used on the ProDAT™ delay tool for Pro38® reloads. By replacing the preset stops with a vernier adjustment dial, you will be able to select any delay time desired between the supplied full delay and the minimum allowed setting—no more fixed stops!
During Mr. Kane's visit to CTI, he was appointed an honorary member of the CAR Motor Certification Committee and given a lifetime membership to the CAR with membership number S-747.
Mr. Kane traveled with Paul Robinson and Ken Mizoi of Animal Motor Works Inc., who visited CTI to take delivery of their new motor test stand. Built by CTI and equipped with CTI's DataCAD® Thrust™ software, the thrust stand is based on the equipment used by CTI and the CAR Motor Certification Committee. With a 5,000 pound maximum thrust rating, it is capable of handling any HPR motor size and beyond—Paul says he has plans to test that capability! While at CTI all three received training on CTI's DataCAD Thrust and DataCAD PEP software, with the Pro54 certification tests used as a hands-on training exercise.
Also during this visit, CTI and AMW agreed to work on joint motor development projects as well as reciprocal hardware and reload standards. Further Pro54 certification tests are scheduled and announcements about these will be posted in the near future. Continuously Variable Delay™, ProDAT™ and Thrust™ are trademarks and Pro38®, Pro54® and DataCAD® are registered trademarks of Cesaroni Technology Incorporated in Canada. |
