BETHEL, Connecticut USA — Countdown Hobbies has added the line of electronics from PerfectFlite to their current inventory. They include the miniAlt/WD altimeter ($99.95), Windows or Macintosh Connection Kit ($14.95), and the miniTimer ($29.95; w/ cable $34.95). All are very small, loaded with features, and of very high quality.

The altimeter reports peak, stores 5+ minutes of data at 20 samples/sec for download, deploys drogue & main w/ continuity check, adjustable main deploy altitude & mach delay, programmable low battery alarm, in-flight telemetry data output, nonvolatile memory & good to 25,000 feet MSL! Measures 3.0" x 0.9" (fits 24mm tube) and weighs 0.7 oz!

The timer features include delay time field adjustable from 0.6 to 25.5 sec in 0.1 sec steps, audible continuity check & time delay reporting, post-flight locator siren, 20+ Amp output, auto trigger config works w/ G switch/breakwire/pullpin. Measures 1.25" x 0.65" & weighs 0.14 oz!

Countdown also now has the long-awaited book "Modern High-Power Rocketry" by Mark Canepa. It covers everything of concern & interest to HPR beginners through level 3 candidates. Nearly 240 pages and 14 chapters, with over 400 b&w photos, in softcover for $25 (earns 3 Bonus Bucks).

And finally there's the 1/6 scale Dragon Models action figure of Buzz Aldrin, complete with all Lunar helmets, boots, gloves, EVA packs, camera and wristwatch for $95.95.
