WORLD WIDE WEB — Rocketeers from Germany and Switzerland have founded a new rocketry organization for German-speaking countries.
The Interessengemeinschaft Modellraketen e.V. (IMR) will serve model and highpower rocketeers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The club offers services such as flight insurance, a newsletter, discounts at selected European dealers, an Internet discussion board and many others.
Another goal of the IMR is to organize launches. On June 7 - 8, the IMR will hold a first public launch weekend at Wetzikon/Switzerland (Zurich area) with model rocketry and highpower launches. In addition, the IMR will display rockets on hobby fairs and works close with the press to promote the hobby.
