WORLD WIDE WEB — Rogue Aerospace Corporation (RAC), a small model rocket kit manufacturer that halted retail sales in October of 2002, is still looking for a buyer for their left-over inventory. Owner Brent W. York said a deal was in the final stages to sell the huge cache of parts to an existing kit manufacturer, but the prospective buyer had to bow out at the last minute.
"I really want to make a deal with somebody out there in the rocketry community on these parts," Brent said. "It seems a shame for them to just sit around gathering dust in storage, when someone could be using them to fly, or better yet, to kit up some brand new designs."
RAC is seeking to divest itself of about $12,000 worth (wholesale value) of model rocket parts, the most valuable of which are probably the thousands of injection-molded plastic noses and miscellaneous plastic parts. All the plastic was obtained from MRC after they folded their model rocketry division, and is in excellent condition. The entire company, including rights to kit designs, customer lists, supplier information, and other trade secrets, could also be purchased by the right buyer. RAC has posted information for prospective buyers at http://www.rogueaerospace.com/offers.html, and they have indicated that terms are open to negotiation. Interested parties can e-mail
