CASPER, Wyoming — CP Technologies has switched from Mondur MR to Rubinate M due to steady price increases from Bayer.

Rubinate M is a direct substitute for Bayer's Mondur MR. Rubinate M is now sold in bottles with a convenient flip-lid pour spout. The new lid allows the curing agent to be added to the propellant in a more controlled manner such as a drop at a time or as a slow continuous stream.

Rubinate M is a non-poison MDI curing agent so it can be shipped without a hazmat fee. It is a relatively fast curing agent. Once it is added to the propellant mix, you have about an hour to an hour and a half to load your propellant cartridges or motor chamber. Rubinate M will be completely cured in about 24 hours.

The Rubinate M has an equivalent weight of 133, which yields a curing agent ratio of approximately 0.12 for R45HT/R45M and 0.19 for R20LM. Note: Curing agent ratio = (weight of curing agent)/(weight of binder).
