BELLEVUE, Washington USA — GPSFlight, Inc announces new add-on modules for the STXe Telemetry Transmitter which can be programmed to provide recovery or control other electronics.
The STXe provides GPS telemetry downlink information with exact GPS position, speed, altitude, etc.
With the addition of the "Action Board" add-in modules, the STXe can be programmed with five different types of events which can drive electric matches, or even trigger cameras or other electronics equipment.
The five different types of deployment events include trigger on a certain altitude while rising, trigger on a certain altitude while falling, and trigger on apogee.
In addition, the unit has two triggers to turn on the output WHILE the unit is above or below a certain set-point.
The boards have the option to output one amp for example for use with an e-match, or 25ma for use in controlling other electronics.
The "MicroAB" is a small expansion board (.7"x1.1") which snaps into the expansion slot on the STXe.
It can be programmed to watch the GPS altitude data or the Digital Altimeter Module altitude for deployment events using any of the five types of triggers mentioned.
MicroAB retails for $49.95, and includes GPS-Dashboard software for programming.
The "Action Board" (2"x3") is the same size as the STXe, and can plug into the STXe radio headers providing three output channels, and can read data from the GPS or Digital Barometer.
In addition, the Action Board supports uplink ground control of any of the three outputs so that the user can press one of three buttons in the GPSFlight software which will uplink a signal to the Action Board trigger to trigger the event in real-time. The Action Board can also be used in Ôstand-alone' mode simply by connecting to any NMEA GPS.
The Action Board retails for $99.95, and includes GPS-Dashboard software for programming.
GPSFlight, Inc provides advanced low-cost, license free long range telemetry hardware and software solutions for recreational, commercial, and government use.
