COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, USA -- Apogee Components has finished its new Technical Publication #15 - "Understanding Rocket Simulations From the RockSim Software." This 24 page booklet covers a wide variety of subjects about rocketry in seven chapters.

The chapters are:

  2. The Rocket Motor Thrust Curve
  3. The Drag Force on the Rocket
  4. Velocity and Acceleration Curves
  5. What is Optimum Mass?
  6. Optimum Mass for Angled Launches, and in the Presence of Wind
  7. Multi-Stage Optimum Mass.
The booklet is also written as a user's manual for using the advanced features of the RockSim program; like Optimum Mass graphs, and exporting data to a spread sheet program. And it can be used by educators to teach about model rocketry.
