WALLOPS ISLAND, Virginia USA — Twelve blind youths have planned and conducted a successful launch of a ten and half foot sounding rocket from NASA's Wallops Space Flight Facility. The launch culminated the end of a weeklong rocket science camp experience for blind youth in the United States.

Student participants were: David Abraham, Albuquerque, N.M.; Tiffani Clements, Ramona, Calif.; Justin Harford, Chico, Calif.; Amy Herstein and Nikki Singh, Ellicott City, Md.; Justin Hodge, Bunker Hill, Ind.; Alysha Jeans, Wichita, Kan.; Meghan Joost, Chicago, Ill.; Daniel Ramirez, Bronx, N.Y.; Ryan Thomas, Tucson, Ariz.; Henry Wedler, Petaluma, Calif.; and Lindsay Yazzolino, Issaquah, Wash.
