LAS VEGAS, Nevada USA — Citing increasing regulatory requirements and a general downturn in business activities, Rocketmotion, Inc. CEO Larry Frieson announced with sadness today that he and the Board of Directors have decided to close the retail business served by the Rocketmotion.com web site.

"Although we had a great time building and launching rockets and serving the model rocket hobbyist with supplies, at this time we've chosen to wind-up the business," Frieson said. The web site Rocketmotion.com will remain in operation as an information portal for the model rocket hobbyist, but all retail activities will be discontinued.

"I got into model rocketry first as a hobbyist," Rocketmotion Inc. CEO Frieson stated. "I began marketing videos of high power rocket launches in the western United States in 1998 over the Internet," he added. As Frieson's interest grew, he began reselling rocket supplies as well as designing and launching high power rockets. Frieson went on to reach the third level of certification with Tripoli Rocketry Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and operation of amateur high power rocketry.

That business evolved into a full service online retailer as Rocketmotion.com, specializing in supplies and kits for the model rocketry enthusiast.

"I've enjoyed participating in rocketry events, and mentoring newcomers to the hobby," Frieson said, adding that although he was withdrawing from the retail side of model rocketry, he planned to continue in the hobby as a participant. "I've met some tremendous people in this hobby over the years, and I don't plan to give up any of the strong friendships I've developed," Frieson said. "All orders currently in progress will be shipped, but as of midnight tonight, we will cease taking any new orders from the web site, by fax or by phone," Frieson added.
