BATON ROUGE, Louisiana USA — Giant Leap Rocketry, Inc., now offers the Firestorm 54 in dual deployment. This kit is one in Giant Leap's "Almost Ready to Fly" series.
According to Ed at Giant Leap, "the Firestorm 54 has been completely revised from the ground up. It is carefully engineered to make it high performance on the one hand, yet simple to build on the other." Ed added, "this kit makes dual deployment, and level 1 or 2, just a few hours away."
It has the following features: - Avionics Bay with mounting board.
- Acme Fin Canister — no lay up fins required.
- KEVLAR® shock cord with presewn loops.
- KEVLAR chute protectors.
- Aluminum conformal rail guides.
- 54mm Slimline motor retainer.
- Supermount system to secure the shockcord to airframe.
- The New 54mm nosecone with 5-to1 exposed length.
- Ripstop chutes: 36" main chute and 18" drogue
- All hardware included.
- Vinyl DECAL.
- 14 page instructions with step-by-step photos.
- DUAL DEPLOYMENT IN JUST A FEW HOURS.
- LEVEL 1 OR 2 CAPABLE.
- Dual deployment version can be flown in single deployment configuration.
- Available with a fiberglass body upgrade.
- A 2.6" & 3.0" version of the "Almost-Ready-to-Fly" series is coming soon.
- Can be flown on 38mm motors with optional 54/38mm Slimline adapter.
The cost is $119.95
A single deployment-only version of the Firestorm 54 is available as well. It is upgraded as well, and contains many of the same features.
