CAR Chief Range Safety Officer appointed Print E-mail PDF

WORLD WIDE WEB — The Canadian Association of Rocketry (CAR) is pleased to announce the appointment of Max Baines to the position of Chief Range Safety Officer (RSO) and RSO Committee chairman effective immediately.

A CAR spokesperson commented, "This is an extremely important position at CAR going into the future and Max is the right person for the job. He has an excellent relationship with Transport Canada and a vast amount of experience as (RSO) and launch organizer."

The RSO Committees responsibilities include, developing and maintaining CAR's RSO and Rocket Inspector (RI) programs, as well as reviewing accident reports and extreme flight requests with other committees. In addition, as Chief RSO, Max will be responsible for overseeing all launch applications and post-launch reports.
