CARLSBAD, California USA — The blacksky Corporation and Cesaroni Technology were featured prominently on the Discovery Channel Canada Daily Planet show recently.

The show was about the activities surrounding LDRS 24 held at Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. blacksky and CTI teamed together and successfully demonstrated the blacksky Optimal 168 rocket kit and the CTI Pro150® O6800/39000 Manufacturers demo rocket motor with a flight to 44,000 feet.

With launch from the blacksky ProPad3C and dual deployment recovery using the blacksky AltAcc2C, Ejecter2, and ARRD, the rocket was tracked with RocketHunter to a perfect landing 4.5 miles from the launch site. This flight reached velocities in excess of 2500 feet per second with acceleration of 25 g's.
