SMITH FALLS, Ontario CAN -- Propulsion Polymers is pleased to announce that it has completed testing of its CCV system; CCV, which stands for Combustion Chamber Venting is an ignition and venting system for our hybrid rocket motors that provides several benefits to the flier of our hybrid motors. The CCV system does away with the need to provide a vent hole and/or route oxidizer tank vent gases within the rocket body. More significantly, the CCV system allows for pyrotechnic-free ignition without the need for a secondary gaseous oxygen (GOx) supply. Hybrid fliers can now fly entirely without the need for use of BATF/ERD-regulated ignition materials. Testing of CCV has shown it to be extremely reliable in the dozens of tests performed at our secondary test facility near Stittsville, Ontario. |
