BATON ROUGE, Louisiana USA — Giant Leap Rocketry has released their new TALON 2. The TALON 2 is the low cost, easy-to-use version in this series. It is offered at a pre-Christmas price of $74.95.
It is 4 feet long, has a 29mm motor mount, and can fly on anything from a F40 to an I200. The 6 fins are .062 high-temp G-10. The TALON 2 features a plastic 5:1 nosecone and a boattail that is pre-slotted for fins. Ed at Giant Leap says that "customers wanted an easy-to-fly, easy-to-build version of the Talon. This is a high-end kit at a very low price." It includes a nylon shockcord, KEVLAR® shockcord sleeve protector, KEVLAR chute protector, Acme rail guides, preslotted phenolic airframe, pre-slotted boattail, 30" chute, large type bold vinyl decal, and detailed instructions. All hardware is also included (Quiklinks and Eyebolts, etc.).
