YARDLEY, Pennsylvania USA — Jeff Taylor announced today that the first ARTS 2 flight computers have arrived and are available now direct from Loki Research.  Supplies will be limited for a short time, but they expect to have all dealers fully stocked by March. The ARTS GPS telemetry package is also available now.  

The ARTS 2 has all the great features of the original ARTS and is drop-in compatible.  An addition, the ARTS 2 offers the option to use a second "pyro" battery to deliver more power to the output channels.  The improved design now utilizes fewer parts, reducing "noise" in the flight data and improving reliability. 

Since its introduction in 2004, the ARTS flight computer by Ozark Aerospace has earned a reputation for reliability and outstanding features. The updated ARTS 2 includes several new features, while retaining the dimensions and mounting hole locations of the original.

• Two fully programmable output channels for chute deployments, air start, staging, etc. can be configured to fire after any detected flight event (launch, motor burnout, apogee, programmable altitude) with an optional time delay after selected event

• Recording sample rate selectable from 10Hz to 200Hz.
• 82 seconds recording time at 200 samples/second or a maximum of 26 minutes at 10 samples/second
• Two separate memory banks, you can fly twice before downloading data
