GRAYLING, Michigan USA — Paul Holmes of Tripoli Motor Testing announced yesterday the long-awaited certification of the new 54mm hybrid motor line of Sky Ripper Systems.  The newly certified line consists of three sizes: short, medium and long with two versions for each size case. 

The two difference versions are controlled by utilizing a different set of drilled injector plugs, which are easily identified by either a natural brass or black color.  The Sky Ripper motors use conventional fill-at-the-pad nitrous loading through a 3/8" fill tube inserted through the nozzle in conjunction with a forward closure vent.

As with all of Sky Ripper's motors, the pre-heater grain consists of APCP of less than 30 grams, which makes the reloads legal to ship through the standard United States Postal Service channels ready to use out of the box and easily obtainable by all high power fliers.

On an "unrelated" note, apparently the "company" is getting smaller. Todd announced in an online posting that Woody had called hours before the announcement was received from TMT, saying he was getting out. One has to wonder if the amount of time it took TMT to complete this certification was the deciding factor for Woody? Perhaps this is what Chuck Rudy was talking about when he said the price of waiting on TMT has been too great. 12 months to certify a motor?

He posted that right after a conversation I had with him. on Thursday night, I believe, in which I was pretty emotional about the whole thing. The events of that day were somewhat ironic indeed. Let it be known that while I had issues with TMT as a professional organization and believe the current structure of the entity is to blame for the delay, I hold no ill will against Paul Holmes, and believe that for the most part he performed his job to the absolute best of his ability during the last year, which was a personally trying one for him. I think things are on the right track now with TMT, and I expect that great things will be happening in that organization soon. -Todd. (I've been called 'Scott' a lot, though. )
