ImageLAS VEGAS, Nevada USA — Scott Ulrey of BSD High Power Rocketry had hinted in January at the unveiling of his new Lance II kit that he had some other new products soon to be released.  Ulrey announced yesterday that the newest member of the BSD family will be unveiled sometime in the middle of next week: the 7.5" Nike Smoke.

Standing nearly nine feet tall, the 7.5" Nike Smoke comes in either 75mm or 98mm models and features dual deployment.  The kit is based on BSD's new Flexible Phenolic airframe tubing, a very strong kraft cardboard impregnated with phenolic resin that is ideal for composite reinforcement.

The kit is expected to include Birch aircraft plywood fins, centering rings and bulkhead plates, a high-quality hardware kit, fin alignment guide, high-quality fiberglass nosecone, computer-cut self-adhesive vinyl lettering, tubular nylon shock cords and rail buttons. An option for fiberglass fins is also expected.

Perfect for a Level 3 project or scale nuts who want to fly big rockets.
