COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado USA — Apogee Components has completed their move to a new production and shipping facility this past week and its back to business as usual. According to Tim Van Milligan, president of the company, "Apogee has been bursting at the seams for a long time and our previous 2380 square foot building was getting really tight."
Van Milligan states he wanted to move last year, "But things didn't work out like I wanted. And as time went on, it only got even tighter in the old building, so we really had to move this year." But that's all behind them now, as they are stretching their legs in the new space, over 6000 square feet of room, and Van Milligan is already thinking ahead. "Now that we're in the bigger building, I do have plans to expand," Van Milligan stated. "Look for some new stuff coming later this year." They are 100 percent operational presently and want everyone to know that if you place an order, they'll get it out pronto. Van Milligan extends an offer to anyone that happens to be in the Colorado Springs area to feel free to drop by. Their business hours are from 8:30AM to 5:00PM MDT. I may have been one of Tim's last walk in customers...the place was getting "boxed up" for the following day move, and I bought 4 G79s (and an impulse upgrade to my ancient Rocksim)...that much less for them to move to their new digs...

I was thinking while writing the article that it is good to see a hobby rocketry company growing and expanding. Some seem to think the rocketry industry is shrinking, and this at least dispells that proposition for the model rocketry segment. I don't know what the accurate stats are for the high power end of the market, though...

They are another class act that will be seeing my business. I had a technical problem with activating RockSim and they made sure to take care of me. This despite just having moved into their new digs.
