LAKE JACKSON, Texas USA — David Bachelder of QuickBurst has re-introduced his Nova Launch Control System, a 12-volt relay-type launch controller, designed with power to spare. And with the re-release, the unit comes with improved component quality and a reduced price.
The small compact modular design is a snap to set up and the power is unbelievable. The new Nova is capable of lighting most any igniter trouble free. Lighting clusters is no longer a problem, as the Nova has plenty of power for those flights. Specifications: - 12-volt automotive relay rated at 30 amps guarantees maximum power to your igniter.
- 50-foot control cable.
- Rugged poly housings.
- 25-foot 18-gauge igniter cable.
- 6-foot 16-gauge power cord.
- Convenient “fits in the palm of your hand” control box.
- 15mA continuity check built into control box.
- Continuity check is e-match safe, no “unplanned events”.
- NAR and Tripoli required safety interlocks.
- Light weight and easy to transport.
- Easy to learn, use and set up.
- Full documentation .
- Guaranteed to be free of manufacturing defects for one full year.
Setting up the Nova Launch Control System is a breeze: The relay box sits down at the pad along with the battery (12-volt automotive recommended). Stretch the control lead back to the safe zone and plug in the two control leads. Match red-to-red and black-to-black. Check continuity with the black button, a green light means the continuity check has passed and the igniter is good. Plug the safety key in and start the countdown. Press the red launch button and see your project roar into the sky. Simple as that. Nova Launch Control System - Price: $75.00
- (+$12.00 shipping and handling)

NOVA Launch Control Box
I bought the NOVA Launch Controller from David back in March 2004, and haven't had any real problems with it. It works great for both single engine &
clustered launches. In fact, I just used it last August 4th (2007) to successfully launch my PDRocketry's Gemini Titan - 3 (two engine cluster) and
Centuri 1/100 scale Saturn - V (three engine cluster) using another club member's portable booster/battery pack.
