WORLD WIDE WEB — On Tuesday, August 14th, 2007 at 7:44PM EDT, Arianespace will launch an Ariane 5 rocket with the SPACEWAY 3 and BSAT-3a dual-satellite payload. Rocketry Planet has made arrangements to broadcast the launch live in one of our chat rooms. The webcast will begin at 7:24PM EDT, with a 37 minute launch window opening at 7:44PM EDT.

The Launch Readiness Review (RAL) took place in Kourou on Monday, August 11, 2007 and authorized count-down operations for the launch. For its third "heavy-lift" launch of the year Arianespace will boost two communications satellites into orbit: SPACEWAY 3 for US operator Hughes Network Systems, LLC and BSAT-3a for US manufacturer Lockheed Martin Commercial Space Systems, within the framework of a turnkey contract for Japanese operator Broadcasting Satellite System Corporation (B-SAT). Through proven reliability and availability, Arianespace and Ariane continue to set the launch service standard for the world's leading space communications operators. It will be launched from the Ariane launch complex N° 3 (ELA3), in Kourou, French Guiana.
