ImageMARION, Iowa USA — The National Association of Rocketry's National Events Committee announced today that the 2008 NAR National Sport Launch has been awarded to the team of ROSCO (NAR section 648) and SoAR (NAR section 571) over the dates of May 24-26, 2008 at Orangeburg, SC.

The event will be held at the well-known Super Sod farm field near Orangeburg off Interstate 26, the site of two previous LDRS events, with a 10,000 foot FAA waiver.

Anyone heard anything on NARCON for next year yet?

No. We were thinking about it until the idea of co-hosting NSL came up. I even considered putting in a bid for it along with doing NSL, but decided the time period is too short. Maybe next year.
