ImageRANDOLPH, Massachusetts USA — Mike Kruger and Cosmodrome Rocketry, having completed a cross-country move this year from Arizona to Massachusetts, is back up and running, with kits now shipping out again.  Kruger's kits are some of the most detailed available.

Cosmodrome specializes in scale models of real rockets and are aimed at the upper model rocketry end of the spectrum, more solidly into the mid-power rocketry range.  Great models to fly that feature great scale details, their kits even includes a 1:6 scale Aerobee Hi two-stage kit.

Kruger is currently putting together a production run of his Aerobee Hi and Black Brant II kits, before moving onto a run of Nike Smoke kits.  Due to recent increases in the price of balsa, those particular models have been hit with a $5 increase in kit prices earlier this year, but the Nike Apache and the Vostok kits remain unchanged.  Still, with the Nike Apache at $55, the Black Brant II at $60, and the two-stage Aerobee Hi at just $85, these are still very good values for flying models of these sizes.

Cosmodrome kit instruction have also received a little TLC in the form of a format change.  Previously, the kit instructions were posted to the Cosmodome web site as HTML web-based files.  Kruger has updated those instructions by making Adobe PDF versions for all models currently except the Vostok line, which is still scheduled to be converted as well.

Slated as coming soon, Kruger has a 1:24 Delta E, an X15, an MM40 Exocet and the Titan IIIC.  If the quality of the other kits in the Cosmodrome line is any indication, all of these should be welcome additions to scale modelers everywhere.
