Measuring 108" long, the kit features BSD's new Flexible Phenolic airframe tubing and couplers mated together with the huge signature Honest John nose cone in fiberglass, which includes the scale spin thrusters. This rocket looks downright mean on the pad and in flight, and makes a perfect level 2 or level 3 certification project. With the size of this kit, especially the spacious nose cone, dual deployment is a snap, featuring a full avionics bay with room to mount as many electronics as you may need. Aircraft-quality plywood fins, bulkhead plates and centering rings join 50 feet of 9/16" tubular nylon shock cord, rail buttons, positive motor retention and your choice of a 75mm or 98mm motor mount. 54mm motors are able to be flown with an appropriate motor adapter. Quality photo-illustrated instructions guide the builder through construction, detailing the two payload sections, the through the wall fin tabs that extend all the way to the motor tube and the use of four centering rings to make the motor mount tube a rock solid unit. The kit even includes computer cut vinyl "US ARMY" graphics. BSD recommends fiberglassing the airframe if you plan to fly the rocket on motors above L impulse. The rocket does not come with parachutes, so the purchaser would need to supply their own recovery devices. Specifications:
