Pratt Hobbies ULS System

Pratt Hobbies is proud to announce the next generation of their Surefire and RTLS launch systems: the Universal Launch System.

The ULS will accomodate any commercially available rocket motor, solid or hybrid.

The modular approach means you only buy what you need, and expand it as your needs change.

The ULS consists of three modules:

  • The Base Module is capable of firing solid fuel rocket motors, and delivers either 12 or 24 volts at up to 40 amps to the igniters. It is a relay system, ideal for clusters, that comes with a 100 foot cable.
  • The Valve Manifold Module plugs into the Base Module and attaches to a N2O supply tank. With these two modules, you're filling and firing all brands of hybrid motor except Hypertek.
  • The GOX/HV Ignition Module plugs into the Base Module ignition output. It allows you to fire non-pyrotechnic Hypertek hybrids, and incorporates a solid state sequencer that floods the combustion chamber with GOX 1/2 second before initiating the ignition spark.

The most popular features of the Surefire and RTLS systems are retained in the ULS or available as options. Prices of the individual modules have been reduced by $25. Full details are at http://www.pratthobbies.com/

Pratt Hobbies can customize a ULS or build a completely new launch system to specifications.
