ImageLAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona USA — Trojan Rocket Motors, in cooperation with Contrail Rockets is pleased to announce that as of January 22, 2008, the first 15 Trojan hybrid rocket motors were submitted to the Tripoli Motor Testing Committee (TMT) for product certification.

Tripoli Motor Testing is now back testing motors according to Paul Holmes, TMT Chairman.  Paul Holmes has stated that TMT will look to test the motors which have been submitted the third weekend of February (15-17th), 2008.

Trojan Rocket Motors, along with Contrail Rockets, has patiently awaited this notice from TMT that they will begin testing hybrids again at their location.  Along with the Trojan Rocket Motors which were submitted earlier this week, TMT has been holding five other Contrail Motors, which are to be certified for the current Contrail 54mm hardware line.

Trojan Rocket Motors has been anxiously awaiting this announcement so that we can also announce the first Trojan Rocket Motors promotion.  The promotion, which is to begin on January 28, 2008 will allow for customers who have been anxiously awaiting the release of these Trojan hybrid motors to get an amazing deal on the hardware and reloads.

The 75mm promotion is similar in that purchasing four reloads gets you the hardware at no cost, and purchasing six reloads get the hardware with both nozzle sizes.

Trojan 54mm reloads are priced at $33.00 each.

Trojan 75mm reloads are priced at $90.00 each.

These packages are priced aggressively for customers who are looking to be first adopters of the Trojan hardware.  All hardware and reloads will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail immediately upon TMT’s certification announcement.

There is a limited number of 54mm and 75mm hardware and reloads available at these prices.  Once these initial packages are sold, this promotion will no longer be available.

Isn't Trojan the same as "rubber"?

Aren't these the hybrids so very similar to the Hypertek line?

Close. They are the hybrids that use Hypertek tanks.

Tanks--I actually have some HT hardware.

That said, let's be real here.

They have uber low fuel prices. Bad business plan.

Those use standard tanks and thus are more "commodity driven".

They retain all the on-field labor intensive aspects of all hybrids including Trojan, Contrail, Hypertek, West Coast, RATT rocks, and even the refused U.S. Rockets hybrids, the first hybrids tendered to TRA TMT ever.

I was glad to see TRA back in the saddle certing hybrids. I hope Ed W and Alpha Hybrids (among the more user friendly hybrids I've seen) are ready to go here soon as well..

Doesn't NFPA1125 8.2.3 require passing certification before a rocket motor can be offered for sale?

Wouldn't a potential customer be more likely to order if there was some indication of performance given?

While it is a good deal for someone interested in the product, I can't see anyone ordering without more information than is provided.

Am I way off base??

I don't think you are off-base. Some range of impulse and average thrust would be nice. I understand if they are waiting for the TMT results to actually choose a designation for each motor, but they MUST have some kind of idea how they will test out.
