CEDAR CITY, Utah USA — AeroTech appears to be preparing for its Spring dealer promotion again this year by offering a special promotion to its NAR and Tripoli Level 1, 2 & 3 certification customers, available only through participating high-power RMS™ dealers.
The promotion will include an H128 reload kit for $9.95 (50% off MSRP), a J350 reload kit for $26.49 (50% off MSRP) and an M1297 reload for $194.99 (25% off MSRP). These prices are nearly identical to last years Level 1-2-3 promotion and the offer will be exclusively for individuals seeking Level 1, 2 or 3 certification. Customers will need to present their NAR or Tripoli certification paperwork to the dealer prior to purchase. If the promotion follow last year's criteria, the Level 1-2-3 promotion reload kits will be clearly marked "for certification flights only". Website: http://www.aerotech-rocketry.com/

Be careful folks, while a great deal, taking this step can lead to addiction and the need to pay full price. That the M's are less heavily discouted is proof that the pusher man knows what he is about.

What a great promotion and I thank Aerotech for everything they do to support the hobby. However, I really wish there was a promotion on the hardware. I need 38mm hardware for my L2 and 75mm for my L3...ouch!
I just did my L1 last month (18 degrees...burrrrr!!!) on a Aerotech H128...great fun! http://www.catorockets.org/CATO132/Jon_Stenberg_L1.jpg

Hi Jon,
Congratulations on L1!
Some dealers will help by renting or loaning you a case for your cert flight. Of course if something bad happens you are on the hook for the case, but that's just fair. I'll bet someone in your club will help you out.

Re: AeroTech gears up for Spring 2008 certification promotion
Sounds great--just like it sounded last year. Unfortunately, It is difficult to take advantage of--at least for the M1297 for the Level 3. I contacted several dealers last year to take advantage of this same promotion. No dealer would sell a M1297 at the promo price. I even contacted Aerotech and asked if they knew of a dealer that would sell one to me. Aerotech was of no help--but they were very polite about it. Finally one dealer explained the problem to me: In order for him to get the special price on just one M1297--he would have to buy approx. $2,000 in Aerotech merchandise at his normal discount. I still do not have my level 3--I am attempting to go for it this year--but I will not rely on the certification promo from Aerotech.

Midwest Power is a great place to certify and you'll have months to get your rocket built.
