LITCHFIELD, New Hampshire USA — Always wanted your own rocketry company but wanted one that set you apart from all the rest? Your timing may be right, if you have a hankering to handle premium G-10 fiberglass airframe tubing, FR-4 fiberglass fins and composite nosecones.
Alan Gorecki, owner of Hawk Mountain Enterprises, is wrestling with the thought of putting his business up for sale. Gorecki, also the owner of Environmental Management Solutions, has been juggling the two businesses now for some time and feels the juggling act has impacted both businesses.
"Over the years it has been hard trying to run two businesses and as a result both have suffered," Gorecki said in an email interview today. "I haven't been able to design as many kits as I would like and other things like offering real carbon fiber tubes."
Gorecki's business is well-established, and is a known source of quality fiberglass kits and components for the hobby rocketry enthusiast, in addition to being a reseller for a number of well-known rocketry manufacturers, including AeroPack, Public Missiles, Rocketman, Rouse-Tech, G-Wiz Partners and Giant Leap.
Hawk Mountain recently relocated from Yardley, Pennsylvania to Litchfield, New Hampshire, a move designed to benefit Gorecki's wife, Natalia, who recently completed an arduous medical residency program and landed an extremely advantageous position with Nashua Internal Medicine Associates in nearby Nashau. Selling Hawk Mountain would enable Gorecki to focus on his primary business as well as allow him to spend more time with his wife, who after years of diligent toil in residency rightly deserves some time off.
If you think this is your opportunity, or know of the just the right person to take advantage of this opportunity, please contact Alan via email at

I wish I were closer to retirement, this sounds like a good opportunity for someone to take over a business with a good reputation. I wish Al and his wife all the best.
