LAKEWOOD, Colorado USA — Rocketeer Media is now shipping the March #70 issue of Extreme Rocketry magazine. This issue marks the 8th year of publication of the magazine—with all 70 issues being shipped on schedule.

Issue #70 features an in-depth interview with Doug Gerrard, one of the hobby's only experts on high speed film camera payloads and elaborate high speed film pad cams.

In addition, a launch report for the Mid West Power 07 launch written by Brent Hill appears in this issue with photos from the launch.

There are a number of technical articles including topics like Extreme Altitude Boosted Darts, Altimeter Basics, Surfactants Effect on Propellant Viscosity, and GPS Rocket Recovery. The usual centerfold calendar, launch calendar, reader photos and opinion column also appear is this issue.

Is that the same launch I went to the last week in October of last year? If so Extreme Rocketry certainly has their nomenclature wrong, because it was (is) called Midwest Power 5, not Mid West Power 07 (have the T-shirt to prove it). BTW, Midwest Power 7 will be in 2009.

I admire your dedication and perseverance through good times and bad. There were a number of 'life events' during those years but you ALWAYS shipped the magazine on time. I sincerely appreciate your efforts to add to the hobby and support rocketry in all it's flavors. I'm sure that through Extreme Rocketry you have brought many new rocketeers into the fold and educated many of us 'old timers'. Congratulations again on your contributions and your excellent record. Brent has seen adversity and continued to hang in there, concentrating on his commitment to get the magazine out on time. Coming during the timeframe when another magazine's delivery was sketchy at best, it was a welcome sight in the mail. Congratulations, Brent!
