MM Publishing releases its first issue of the National Space Society's official publication NEW YORK CITY, New York USA — MM Publishing Inc., owner and publisher of LAUNCH Magazine, has just released the company's first issue of Ad Astra, the official publication of the National Space Society. The Spring 2008 issue, featuring an in-depth special report on space-based solar power, is on its way to 15,000 NSS members. Although Ad Astra is in its 18th year of publication, this is the first time the editing and publishing duties have been handled by MM Publishing. Not only is the magazine larger-going from the traditional 48 pages to 68 pages-it has also been redesigned and is being produced on heavier, glossier paper stock. Ad Astra is published quarterly. "I believe NSS members will notice an immediate change for the better in the production and content of the magazine," said MM Publishing President Mark Mayfield. "It's truly a thrill to be producing this magazine for them." NSS members include some of the nation's most influential space advocates and industry leaders. The society's board of directors, advisors and governors include astronauts Buzz Aldrin, Frank Borman, Jim Lovell, John Glenn, and Harrison Schmitt, along with celebrities that include Tom Hanks, Tom Cruise, Sir Arthur C. Clarke and many others. Former ABC 20/20 anchor Hugh Downs serves as chairman of the NSS board. To join the National Space Society, visit http://www.nss.org.

Re: A new AD ASTRA Magazine
What I want to know is the executive summary of when or if orbital beamed power will be practical. I do mean practical with no offsets.
