News Release by AeroTech Consumer Aerospace
Saturday, March 15, 2008

ImageCEDAR CITY, Utah USA — AeroTech is releasing a new Mojave Green™ propellant reload kit for AeroTech and Rouse-Tech™ RMS-29/40-120 reloadable model rocket motor hardware, the G76G.

ImageThe G76G produces a highly visible exhaust plume with Mojave Green's distinctive green color. It is a two-grain configuration similar to the redesigned G64W and the G71R released last year, and likewise may be shipped via U.S. Mail Parcel Post® with no hazmat fee. The G76G will be available in three time delays: G76-4G (P/N 77504), G76-7G (P/N 77507) and G76-10G (P/N 77510)

National Association of Rocketry (NAR) certification testing for the G76G is in-process. AeroTech's measured total impulse for the G76G is 118 N-sec. Other statistics include a burn time of 1.5 seconds, average thrust of 76 Newtons, peak thrust of 196 Newtons, propellant mass of 60.0 grams and initial mass of 147 grams. It may be used interchangeably in the same kits as the G64W and G71R reloads, with the same time delays.

The G76G reload kit will be priced the same as the G64W and G71R, at $12.95 each. AeroTech is accepting orders for the G76G now and anticipates shipments to dealers and distributors to begin by late April.

Instructions, assembly drawings and the official NAR certification document for the G76G will soon be available for download in PDF format from the AeroTech Resource Library.

AeroTech Consumer Aerospace is a division of RCS Rocket Motor Components, Inc., Cedar City, UT.

Finally some green for the 29mm hobby case! I have a friend who will not fly HPR after several failed L2 attempts. He will fly MPR and loves his 29-40/120 case. He kept wailing about the lack of any new reloads for the case.

Now I have something to make him stop complaining long enough to fly!

I would have rather seen it in the 29mm HPR cases (60/100/130), however a G-Green is going to be fun. I need to find four for my Loc 4-29SS.

I really hope the slot is big enough for a First Fire or QuickBurst Twiggy as The whole idea of clustering Copperheads is just too depressing to consider.

I wonder if we will see a single use "Mojave Green"? That would be nice since I gave up 29mm G and below reloads a while back. The cost savings just wasn't worth the time it takes to assemble a small motor.

I'd love to see some loads for the 180 and 240 cases as well. But green in any 29 offering is most welcome, and UV, tell your friend he is not alone--there is another guy in one of my clubs who is also snake bit--0/4 L2. Just needs to persevere, and focus 85 percent of his efforts on a sturdy recovery system, fly it a bunch ot times with some of those big G80's AT is making, it's only another 30N-s to L2!

'eh?

Did you mean L1? G80 to L2 minimum is a lot more than 30 Ns... The L2 has been a real let down. He lost an altimeter on the last attempt - went in a hog pond ballistic.

I think there is a difference in TRA and NAR levels of certification. I may be wrong about this......(I'm not up to date on the NAR regulations)

I thought both NAR and TRA use the same certification levels now. Level 1 is H and I motors, Level 2 is J, K and L motors and Level 3 is M and above.

You are probably correct....I haven't researched the NAR levels....and the last time I looked was over 10 years ago.

There is the H250G for the 29-240.

My mistake--I meant L1 not L2, and its time to check out the AT catalog again. I'd love to try one of those critters, the H250g. Thanks for the tip, Al.

These Green Motors are awesome. I'd love to see one for the 38/1080 case. I flew a J570 in my Talon at the last Freedom launch and would love to fly one of these high impulse density motors in the 1080 case. I saw the I motor first hand and it was shocking the performance that the rocket got. This green propellent means buisness. It's awesome. It's not just for looks. It's got serious performance too.

I got one and we flew it on our field in Midland just a week or so after the propellant started shipping. Bright Green - not sure how much better this could be. Fast and Green...

It's probably my only beef with AT on a major scale. The hysterisis in their catalog is absurd. The only way you can sometimes tell what is current is to read the news on their site or follow the threads. I understand them not wanting to print new catalogs, but sheesh, their online one should be up to date.

I plan to fly the G77R for the 29/40-120 case at Freedom Launch this year. I will also be looking at getting one of these G76G motors too. That Cheetah has flown so many great flights. There are so many great motors to fly. AeroTech has blessed us with great motor choices, and the motors seem to come from suggestions on these forums. It's really awesome to have all these choices. The performance gains with these new motos is also quite impressive.

Absolutely! But I think a better solution for them would be to not simply duplicate their catalog online but to have a really nice website with the information hyperlinked and easily consumed.

Heres another idea--bring back all those great legacy motors from the past! Then no need to update the catalog

G71R is for the 29/40-120 and the G77R is for the 29/120.

Almost, yeah, that was a mistype or misspoken or however we put it online. I always get them mixed up, but there is also a G77 LMR motor. There is a G77R LMR, G77 29mm "HPR" Case motor, and a G71R for the 40-120. The G71 is what I have two of.

I also mistyped that I'd get one of those Green Motors. That too was wrong. I will be getting at least 2 of those.

AT, if you guys read this, make SURE that Ken Allen gets as many of those things as he wants. Those motors are gonna sell out fast. You cannot stock him with enough F40's, G64's, G71's, and G76's...it's impossible. We go through the first 3 like crazy around here, and I know that green motor will be no different. It fits right in that power range with a little bit of extra kick. We fly tons of rockets in that power range. Lots of 7 second delays, and 10 and 13 second delays would be welcomed. That G80 with the 13 was popular last weekend at our launch. It allows us to do those high flights that you can't do with a 10. Those new G80's ROCK! AeroTech you rule man! Keep Rocking, we're havin' a ball!

Can`t wait until I get one of these! If they`re anything like the G71 then they should be cool in one of Art apple white`s 29mm stealth kits.
