News Release by Giant Leap Rocketry
Thursday, March 20, 2008

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana USA — Giant Leap Rocketry, Inc. releases its newly redesigned Thunderbolt 38 with a Level 1 promo from CTI motors.

The redesigned Thunderbolt 38 has a lot of updated features like the Hardpoint anchor, Kevlar shockcords and Kevlar parachute protector, Acme pre-molded fin canister, Acme rail guides, Pinnacle nosecone, lots of hardware, and a photographically documented instruction book.

Ed at Giant Leap said, "It’s a totally new kit with great features."

Best of all, the new Thunderbolt 38 can be purchased separately for only $99.00, or with a complete level 1 motor combo (CTI 2 grain casing and H153 reload) for a combined price of only $119.99. If you order the L1 kit-motor combo online, the kit can be sent by  mail, but to avoid hazmat charges, the motor must be delivered on-site.

According to Ed, “The New Thunderbolt 38 is a great kit that builds in an hour or two, and is great for certification and for super-high flights on even the smallest motors. The New Thunderbolt 38 is a great deal at $99, and it's irresistible with the motor combo at $119.99.”

Hey Ed, Nice price. The T-38 is an awesome rocket. It'll really get up and go on an H153. Good thing it's tough too and can handle a small chute. Perfect rocket and motor for an economy L1 flight.

I think the ACME fin cans are great choices for L1-2 flights. If one doesn't care for the seam, some masking tape and a bit of putty is one all needs to make a seamless rocket.

I saw it's bigger brother the FireStorm 54mm and those things really do move out. They are quality kits with good stuff in them. This deal is gonna make alot of new HPR Flyers, and there will be lots of smiling faces coming soon.

For those out there that are wanting to get into HPR and were looking for the deal, her's your chance to get one, and get a really cool rocket. You'll never forget your L1 cert as long as you live. You'll never forget your L2 either. I can't say about the L3 yet because I don't have one, but I've been told to multiply that feeling times 10 for an L3!
