Thumbs up Re: LAUNCH Magazine presents "The Wonder of It All"
I had an opportunity to see this film at a showing at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor's Complex. It's excellent!! In my view, much better than the Ron Howard produced "In the Shadow of the Moon". The interviews are richer, more meaningful, and you get a much deeper personal sense of what the moon landings meant for those who did them. Apollo 14's Ed Mitchell seems to be the one delivering most of the humorous anecdotes, much like Apollo 12's Al Bean did in "ISM". But filmmaker Jeffery Roth and team does a better job of getting into the heart of the moonwalkers experience, especially Apollo 11's Buzz Aldrin, who provides a significant moment in the film.
This is the little film that could and is a definite TBS....TO BE SEEN!!
I give it 4-1/2 rockets.
