LAKEWOOD, Colorado USA — Rocketeer Media is pleased to announce it is currently shipping the April 2008 (issue 71) of Extreme Rocketry magazine. The latest issue was mailed to subscribers from the Texas mailing house on March 23. The new issue features an interview with Jim Flis, founder of Flis Rockets and also contains coverage of the European ALRS 2007 launch. This issue also features a great article on Aerospace Software Development (a three part series). Other regular columns include articles on Boosted Darts, Recovery Basics and an EX article on Testing Surfactants Effect on Propellant Viscosity (part 2). Like all Extreme Rocketry issues, the magazines is filled with many stunning full page rocket photos and a centerfold calendar. The April 2008 (Issue 71) is currently available for sale from the Extreme Rocketry webstore at http://www.extremerocketry.com.

I have to say, this issue's cover is the best rocketry magazine cover I have seen in a while. The absence of cyan sky is a treat!

Just because there is cyan sky doesn't mean every photograph in the book, especially the cover, has to be dominated by cyan sky color.  Extreme Rocketry showed you can have a rocket on the cover and it not be surrounded by a majority of cyan sky.

That's because of the mountain in the background... Yes, this makes a different view than out on a dry lake.
The downside is the limitation in site dimension, we can't fly higher than 10'000 ft (beyond 7'000 only if there is no high winds)
