NEW YORK, New York USA — Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell and Apollo 7's Walter Cunningham joined LAUNCH Magazine for Monday night's New York premiere of the film, The Wonder of It All. Also on hand was film director Jeffrey Roth, and Andrew Chaikin, author of the book, A Man on the Moon.
They were among more than 350 people who attended the special screening, presented by LAUNCH, at the Picture House in Westchester County, NY, just north of Manhattan. Many attended a more private reception with the astronauts prior to the screening. And all were invited to stay for a question-and-answer session following the event. The Wonder of It All includes in-depth interviews with seven of the 12 men who walked on the Moon, including Edgar Mitchell. "I think everyone really appreciated these astronauts taking time to come to this event," said LAUNCH editor Mark Mayfield. "And I especially enjoyed seeing kids there. They were mesmerized by the fact that Ed and Walt had actually ridden rockets into space. And I think Ed was asked a million times just how it felt to walk on the Moon. This was a special event, and I know the entire group had a great time." LAUNCH Magazine is owned by MM Publishing Inc., which also publishes Ad Astra, the official magazine of the National Space Society. To subscribe to LAUNCH, visit http://www.launchmagonline.com/. Re: In New York: Back to Apollo
Launch Magazine is truly a first class publication. I can't wait to see the movie. When is it going to hit local theaters?

Re: In New York: Back to Apollo
Mark was very kind to give me a "heads up" on this event and I sent my book so as to have it autographed by the two astronauts and Andrew. In fact, I bet it's one of the books you see on the table in the picture of Andrew Chaikin. My book arrived safe and sound several days ago.
Thank you Mark, and to Walter Cunningham, Ed Mitchell and Andrew Chaikin.
