ImageJUSTIN, Texas USA — The Northwest High School rocketry team placed 32nd Saturday at the National Team America Rocketry Challenge in Virginia. The Northwest team of three girls made up one of 100 teams competing for the $60,000 prize.

The goal was to design, build and test a model rocket that carried two Grade A large eggs in flight for 45 seconds at an altitude of 750 feet and return them uncracked. The Northwest team had worked on their rocket since September.

"We didn't do as well as we hoped, but we beat 60 other teams..." said Wayne Day, their school sponsor. "...We're not complaining."
