Apollo 7's Walt Cunningham to Join LAUNCH at NARAM-50

NEW YORK, New York USA — LAUNCH Magazine's July/August issue, now on its way to subscribers and newsstands, is packed full of great summer reading—from a picture-perfect feature on NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander to a preview of the National Association of Rocketry's 50th annual competition.

The issue—printed in a new larger size format—also features an in-depth interview with Apollo 14 moonwalker Edgar Mitchell; an excerpt from a behind-the-scenes new book about SpaceShipOne; coverage from the Team America Rocketry Challenge (TARC); and a look back at the visionary spaceships and hardware from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. And LAUNCH's Space History column profiles the career of Donald "Deke" Slayton.

Also included is Apollo 7 astronaut Walter Cunningham's latest Viewpoint column. Cunningham and his wife Dot have agreed to attend the NAR's Old Rocketeer Reunion (ORR) and NARAM-50 with the LAUNCH crew later this month. The magazine is a sponsor of both the ORR and NARAM.  Writer Bob Sanford gives readers a preview, and a look back at the first 49 NARAMs in the July/August issue

The new issue features an exciting new look for LAUNCH—a wider trim size to give the features and photography even better display than before.
