VAN ORIN, Illinois USA — Wildman Rocketry is pleased to announce the release of the new Performance Rocketry Mongoose 98, a minimum diameter carbon fiber rocket with a conical nose cone.  Standing over 8 feet tall, the Mongoose 98 comes with dual deployment standard.

The conical graphite nose cone is 5:1 and features a screw-on aluminum tip while the airframe is filament-wound carbon fiber as are the couplers, laminated in a matrix of high-temp 500 degree F epoxy.  Fins are constructed of .25" quasi-isotropic carbon fiber, and the carbon fiber bulkhead plates are also .25".

I have one that has a custom 68 inch long booster tube. The rocket is built for a 98mm 26,000 ns O1900 . With a 13 second burn in the current D grain configuration , it is putting the rocket in the upper 70,000 range. We will find out at Balls what she will really do!

70K on an O... prolly not

But sounds great! Get some high temp enamel on those fins and NC so it doesnt burn and peel off.

why not 70,000? you can do 40,000 on 8000 ns , so you dont think you can get another 30,000 feet on an aditional 17,000 ns on a motor that burns for 13.4 seconds ? I have only gone to 23K but it seems feasable to me. time will tell as they say.
