WORLD WIDE WEB — On the morning of Wednesday, July 23rd, the former president and one of the first members of Tripoli the Netherlands, Pim Heydt, died at the age of 53. Heydt died as a result of complications after a heart attack he suffered last week. A very dedicated rocketeer who always surprised his friends with his projects, Heydt's knowledge of the hobby culminated in his successful Level 3 certification in September of 2004. Outside of hobby rocketry, he was an enthusiastic collector of antique black powder fire arms and was active in the gun sport. Tripoli The Netherlands points to scores of successful launches there and abroad as a result of Heydt's work. He will be missed at the launches where he always wore a broad smile under his large mustache. Heydt was a helping hand that many considered a source of inspiration and advice when needed. Heydt is survived by his girlfriend Tineke, and two sons, Joris and Lucas.
