ImageWORLD WIDE WEB — Paul Holmes of Tripoli Motor Testing announced today the certifications for four new reload kits, a 3580Ns L motor for Gorilla Rocket Motors, a 4229Ns L motor for AeroTech and two for the Kosdon By AeroTech line, in the 29mm Kosdon "Truly Recyclable Motor" line.

Gorilla Rocket Motors is introducing a new 75mm motor, a 75-3500 motor casing, which Gorilla owner Jim Harris expects to offer three propellants for, including red, green and sparky loads, which will be joined later by a 75-6000 motor casing. The first Gorilla 75-3500 motor to be tested was designated as the L985GT Green Tornado, a 39% L motor with 3580Ns total, sporting a 3.6 second burn time.

AeroTech Consumer Aerospace received certification on their new L1170FJ reload which fits the 75-5120 motor casing and features their Fast Max black propellant. As tested, the motor performed as an L1154, a 65% L motor with 4229Ns total with a 3.6 second burn time.

Also among the AeroTech family were two Redline certifications for the Kosdon TRM Truly Recyclable Motors 29mm hardware, a 29-250 and a 29-150 version.  The 29-250 tested as an H225R with a 1 second burn time, while the 29-150 tested as a G135R, also with a 1 second burn time.  TMT noted that these two reloads use RMS-Plus delay system, fitted into the standard TRM forward closure with Kosdon delay kits.

"Testing had been delayed especially on the Sparkies due to corn fields we test in," Holmes stated.  "We also have a bunch of new Gorillas, a couple of more very interesting new Aerotech's and a few more Contrails due for testing next weekend all to be certified, if acceptable, for LDRS 27."

Are many people flying Gorilla Motors? Seems like all you would need is some AMW hardware and maybe a nozzle and you're good to go. I sure would like to try one of those 75mm "L" motors.

There seems to be a lot of them at the Florida launches. They are pretty cool.
