WORLD WIDE WEB — Peter Alway's much acclaimed Rockets of the World has been reprinted and is awaiting your order through the National Association of Rocketry Technical Services, or NARTS for short. Alway's book is available in hardcover for just $30.
Almost everyone in hobby rocketry is familiar with the name Peter Alway, a name synonymous with scale rocket data as it relates to rockets from all over the world. Alway's expertise has become a coveted prize as hobbyists face a vanishing source for scale rocket data. Rockets of the World, Alway's primary publication, was last revised in 1999, its third edition. The book is a detailed reference of historical and currently deployed rockets. Alway announced in January of 2007 that he was discontinuing his web-based mail order business for direct sales of his books, citing his poor quality of service in filling orders. In a news report from July of 2007, it was reported that Jack Hagerty, owner of ARA Press, was negotiating with Alway to bring the Rockets of the World Supplements publications back to market, as the supplements had also gone out of publication. While deals were being inked, the National Association of Rocketry also got in the mix, and struck an agreement with Alway to bring back the primary Rockets of the World publication for distribution through NARTS. Their plan was to have the new printings available in time for NARAM-50, the National Association of Rocketry's Annual Meet, in Virginia last month, where organization attendees celebrated a half century of hobby rocketry, a goal that was met. In over 380 pages, Rockets of the World details over 200 versions of 133 rockets from 14 countries. Packed with 198 dimensioned and color keyed drawings supplemented by 178 photographs, it's your one stop source for scale data. Each copy is $30, plus $9 shipping and handling. Non-NAR members will pay an additional 15%. While the NARTS website has yet to be updated with the new information, it should be available there before too long. Website: http://www.nar.org/NARTS/

Re: Article: Santa arrived early and brought ROTW with him
Great! As soon as NARTS gives confirmation that it's ready to ship, I'm ordering one.
