PORT ORANGE, Florida USA — AMW Pro-X Distributors, Inc. is pleased to announce the unveiling of their new website. The site ushers in a new era at AMW Pro-X, and brings to life the merger of high power rocketry lines with Cesaroni Technology Incorporated (CTI) announced last August.
As multitudes of new motors and reload kits flow through the multi-jurisdictional certification process, AMW Pro-X and CTI find themselves rushing to meet the demand and get the new products out to the general public. The new marketing arrangement brings state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to AMW Pro-X and a host of new propellant formulas to CTI, with the combined initiative bringing the largest number of certified high power rocketry motors together under their collective marketing banner. AMW Pro-X Distributors brings the popular multi-colored zoo animal-themed propellants of Animal Motor Works together with the entire array of propellants from CTI, resulting in a broad selection of new propellant formulas joining the menu, including the new Black Bear™, Tamed Tiger™, Wild Wolf™ and Scalded Tiger™ propellants. These join all of the other favorites AMW fans have enjoyed for years. A new line of 38mm hardware will join the AMW Pro-X lineup, featuring an extremely easy-to-assemble modularized reload assembly based on the popular CTI Pro38™ motor. Designed to compliment the Pro38 line, the cases are interchangeable, allowing the use of Pro38 reloads in AMW Pro-X hardware and AMW Pro-X reloads in CTI Pro38 hardware. This interchangeability combined with the modularized nature of the AMW Pro-X reload assemblies gives users the widest possible selection of available propellants, thrust profiles and yes, even colors, on the market, making AMW Pro-X 38mm motors truly "a better way to fly™." In the 54mm lineup, AMW Pro-X brings near single-use flexibility to their hardware line with the introduction of a new hard anodized aluminum nozzle carrier, designed to allow the use of phenolic nozzles in place of the previously used graphite nozzles. While each reload kit will come with a new nozzle, this phenolic version can be reused several times, making it ideal for fliers interested in EX and research applications. EX and research fliers already favor AMW Pro-X hardware over any other brand, and the new nozzle options just add more flexibility for them. To celebrate the unveiling of the new website, AMW Pro-X Distributors have announced their Summer Introduction Sale. For a limited time, AMW Pro-X is offering astounding discounts on their 38mm hardware line and propellant reload kits, as well as a super value in the 54mm line, where you purchase two reloads and get the hardware for close to cost. For more information on the summer sale, visit http://www.amwprox.com/content/view/73/99/. The new AMW Pro-X web site is being geared to bringing new certification, assembly and product information on the new arrivals to the public as quickly as possible, although some certification and testing documentation is still being updated. An exciting issue worth noting is that California OSFM certification paperwork has already been filed on the entire propellant lineup and may be approved in time for LDRS. Website: http://www.amwprox.com/ Pro38® is a registered trademark of Cesaroni Technology Incorporated in Canada.

Re: Article: AMW Pro-X rolls out new web presence, announces huge sale
I just checked out their prices. Even at retail the price for a 6 grain 38mm J load is a reasonable $63, but the introductory price of $43-$46 is excellent. The sale ends on 8/15/08.

Is there any way to know for sure if these new motors will be avaliable at LDRS?

Re: Article: AMW Pro-X rolls out new web presence, announces huge sale
The motors are Being packaged for shipping this week.
I have a list of what was ordered, and out of almost 1000 pcs they are only short 7 motors..
Short of a truckers strike, The motors will be at LDRS, probably some before you
That does NOT count the regular AMW product lines, which will also be available!
Thanks Paul

I also need to mention, I only have about 200 sets available of the 54mm AMW hardware at the special price.
Some sizes will go very quick.
I only brought 6 to a small local launch, and they were gone in 20 minutes??
Also there are many more loads currently in the certification process..
Maybe even more surprises to come.
Thanks Paul & Robert

Man, am I excited!
That is a great deal on both the 38 & 54's.
Why does this always happen when I'm broker than broke.....
I was just talking to Ken Allen about an AMW hardware offer @ NERRF.
2 questions.....
Why is there only one 2550 load (TT) included in the 54mm sale?
What's the chance that the Purple Parrot will finally be let out of his cage?
I've been waiting for this since AMW arose like a Phoenix from the ashes of K.E.
Thanks Paul!
*edit* The big moonburners are cool as hell too!
A 14 second M motor is going to make one serious sustainer.

Finally the wait is over!
Got a question though -
In the PROX reloads what propellants do the SC and BL prefixes indicate?

In the PROX reloads what propellants do the SC and BL prefixes indicate? Scalded Tiger and Black Bear. Because ST is sleepy tiger and BB is blue baboon, they could not reuse those mnemonics.
From the AMW ProX Website:
Reload Kit Propellant Cross Reference
WT = White Wolf Propellant™
GG = Green Gorilla Propellant™
WW = Wild Wolf Propellant™
SC = Scalded Tiger Propellant™
ST = Sleepy Tiger Propellant™
BB = Blue Baboon Propellant™
BL = Black Bear Propellant™
RR = Red Rhino Propellant™
SK = Skidmark Propellant™
TT = Tamed Tiger Propellant™

We ran out of time, during the first testing session.
More to come soon!
Paul
If you are interested, in the 2550 loads,and hardware special. I can modify the special to include another 54mm motor along with at least one 2550 load.
Thanks Paul

It appears to me that there is no obvious way to actually place an order or instructions to do so. Did I miss something?? Found a link to an order form but the document isn't found.

Re: Article: AMW Pro-X rolls out new web presence, announces huge sale
Ok... the elephant in the room. What does the new AMW/Pro-X product line mean for the "classic" cases? Will they continue to have a large set of reloads and new products released for them or will they be frozen or phased out?
If I have this right there is a Pro38 style case which is the new AMW/Pro-x 38mm case. And the existing 54mm hardware is using an adapter to allow the use of Pro-x style reloads?
Also it is almost clear but can anyone confirm that all existing Pro38 and Pro54 loads will work in the new 38mm case and with the new 54mm adapter (respectively)?
I also noticed a note about ST and WT (in the 54/1050 case at least) not having the igniter pellet - does anyone know why? Is the WT load in the Pro54 line setup with igniter pellet?

Leave it to me to find a problem!!
Just a suggestion but you might consider adding a link directly to the ordering information on the sale page.

Maybe I'm remembering wrong, (known to happen...rare, but known to happen ) but didn't there used to be a Super Tiger? Is Scalded Tiger the same thing? Just curious. This stuff sounds awesome! I need to raffle off one of my kids so I can get some of this!

VMax motors don't use the pellet either... I'd suspect those two "flavours" are based on that formula?
Anyone know if these are available in Canada yet? I'd love to fly a few at Gagetown at the end of the month.

Re: Article: AMW Pro-X rolls out new web presence, announces huge sale
It looks as if the old CTI propellants have been incorporated into the AMW/ProX line and are now being marketed under the AMW propellant nomenclature -- all the old Classic loads (2GH143, 5GJ285, 6GJ330...) have been re-released as "Tamed Tiger" loads, and all the old Smokey Sam loads (4GI287, 5GI350, 6GJ400) have been re-released as "Black Bear" loads, and the White Thunder loads (5GI540) have been re-released as either "White Wolf" or "Wild Wolf" reloads. Does this mean that CTI Pro38 reloads will no longer exist as a separate entity from AMW/ProX?

No,
Pro38 and AMWPro-X reloads will co-exist.
The hardware and reloads are cross compatible with each other.

The CTI White Thunder will cross-reference to the AMW Pro-X Wild Wolf, and the CTI VMax will cross-reference to the AMW Pro-X Scalded Tiger. Likewise, the AMW Pro-X Red Rhino will cross-reference to the CTI Red Lightning. Any of the reloads have been cross-certified to work either set of hardware.

Re: Article: AMW Pro-X rolls out new web presence, announces huge sale
The future of the 38 snap ring case is still up in the air..
In any case(no pun intended) I will stand behind the people that have bought the product.
There are MORE new propellants coming out in the AMWPro-X line VERY soon.
Customers are going to have to help me decide what is more important to them.
The easy assembly, NO clean up, and ease of use? Is your time worth a couple extra dollars??
Do I delagate the AMW 38 hardware to a EX article,(Oh yea we will be offering a EX supplies section on our new web site in the coming months). Enough of you have asked, so we are going to oblidge you.
look for the AMWPro-X product line to grow, as well as the AMW product line.
Thanks Paul

For those of us who have them and are willing to consider moving to PROX - how about a trade in program? Maybe a Case and a Reload for the much more expensive hardware?
I mean relegating them to EX is fine. If you have any intention of doing EX.

I posted this question in what turned out to be a Loki thread
So I'll ask here also. The Pro-X site says you need an ATF permit for all reloads...including the <62.5 G's? Will this issue resolve itself as I proceed thru checkout?

I tried to order a J285 and 5 grain case last night and received an e-mail asking for my BATFE paperwork?
Maybe through a dealer you will not need the paperwork. I wonder if the sale price will still apply?

LEUP for a J motor Bummer Hi Mike,
Unless the dealer is supervising your flight you still need a LEUP to get anything bigger than a G.
