News Release by Contrail Rockets
Saturday, September 06, 2008

ImageLAKE HAVASU CITY, Arizona USA — Contrail Rockets is looking for current customers and active fliers of their product who are interested in being part of a test group to fly and test out their new 12 volt igniters.

The new igniters are designed to work with all current GSE systems that run on 12 volts, are shippable by all carriers and are designed to be used exclusively with Contrail hybrid products.  At this time we are looking for a number of fliers who fly 38mm and 54mm Contrail hybrid motors who are willing to fly and give feedback on the new ignition system.

The igniters are designed to work with the current pyrodex pellet ignition system, but replaces the now standard “resistor type” igniter.  The igniters have not been tested with any altimeters and are not for staging or air starting of hybrid motors.  If after testing it is found that the new igniters work well in 38mm and 54mm motors, we will extend the testing to 75mm and larger motors and then introduce the igniters into all retail packaging.

Participants in the testing will be given a discount on hardware and reload purchases during testing in return for feedback on the quality, reliability and ease of use.
