ImageWORLD WIDE WEB — According to the Texas Competition Consortium's NAR Data Central website, the Consortium has posted new award certificates to their Hall of Famers and sent messages to the new and old record holders.  The Consortium (TCC), operated by O. Lee James, is an online database of NAR records.

Dan Winings, the NAR Records Sub-Committee Chair, recently posted the latest NAR records list to the Yahoo! Groups "contestRoc" Competition Model Rocketry newsgroup member files area. TCC expands and corrects the offical NAR list to add the record holder's NAR member and section number, corrects errors and typos, including the record holder's name, while working to eliminate duplicate records.

The TCC records are displayed in groupings by competition division as well as by section. For newly broken records, they also show the differences between the current and previous record lists, showing the old and new records with record holder, the change in the record, the length of time the old record stood, and a hyperlink to contact the record holder's section. The TCC lists also include any newly established records which were never before set, as well as unestablished records, pending records, the values needed to set new records and any records that were removed from the previous lists.

Officially recognized as the first time record holder for Division A in the D Boost Glider Duration class with a record of 97 seconds is Alyssa Stenberg of CATO, NAR Section 581.

Eight existing records were broken, including:

  • Cassidy Steele in Division A, D Egg Lofting Altitude class with a record of 627 meters, from Superstition Spacemodeling Society, NAR Section 506;
  • Kim Hunsicker in Division A, D Boost Glider Duration class with a record of 163 seconds, from Southwest Michigan Association of Spacemodeling Hobbyists, NAR Section 500;
