WORLD WIDE WEB — Bill Stine has been hard at work, getting some of our old favorites back online. One of the "casualties" of their move from Cave Creek, Arizona, to their new digs in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, was the Quest Blog, or qBlog for short. The qBlog is back, offering an peek into the Quest back room. As so often is the case with small companies, and even the big boys in this hobby are really all small, many of the tasks are handled by a collective handful who are already overworked. Offline for some 18 months during the time that they moved to their new home, Quest finally cleaned the dust off their Blogger site and have gotten it going again. The current blog entry offers the reader with a peek into the Quest Research & Development Lab, a place company president Bill Stine says he loves. "Product development is definitely my favorite part of this business," Stine said in the blog posting. The article discusses what goes into developing new products at Quest, discussing the repackaging of older products to make them more suitable for the consumer market, such as the Starhawk 6 Rocket Party Set, or their new kits, such as the new NASA Aries launch vehicle they are working on. Readers will be interested to hear that progress is being made on Quest's efforts to enhance the mid-power market, with new mid-power kits and engines, a topic that featured sneak previews at NARAM-50 held in August of this year. New Quest D, E and F engines will power these kits, and will result in new launch pads and controllers, even new igniters. Quest will be introducing the available of rocket construction components on their website soon, so look for an announcement that will allow you to design your own rockets using quality Quest parts.
