Let's face it, the U.S. government isn't planning to do anything soon to help the average Joe, Jane or small business in this economy. So AeroTech is doing its part by offering its authorized dealers and distributors significant incentives for the next two weeks as part of an "AeroTech 2008 Economic Stimulus Sale."
The sale includes all AeroTech model rocket and high power products, and in-stock RMS™ motor hardware. Now is the time to place orders with your participating dealer to stock up for the 2009 flying season. AeroTech products also make great Christmas gifts for your favorite rocket enthusiast!
The sale ends Tuesday, December 16, although participating dealers may choose to continue offering incentives to consumers beyond that date.
AeroTech Consumer Aerospace is a division of RCS Rocket Motor Components, Inc., Cedar City, UT.

How good a deal are our dealers supposed to be offering us? I mean how much am I going to get off for reloads right now?

I think this is a great idea and will (as a dealer) pass on 100% of that benefit to the consumers.
Let's not forget that our manufacturers probably suffer most from that crisis, because hobbies often are seen as the "easiest place to save money" and take the biggest hit.
I have talked to a few, it's the same picture everywhere.
If we all stop spending on our beloved hobby, we won't have any dealers and manufacturers left, once things are going better again. And it won't have been "cheap" then either.
So let's organize "stimulus launches" . I for one get stimulated for sure if I see rockets fly (and that's not as a dealer, I am earning my money elsewhere luckily)

Well, "strange" probably isn't the right word.
"Unique" probably fits better.
Wintertime is the "slow season" for our hobby industry, so there is a tradition of "christmas/winter sales" (designed to generate at least some business for the manufacturers/dealers).
For those who have their jobs in our hobby, winter probably always has been a very difficult time. I'd bet that this winter is particularly difficult.
As everybody is discussing economy anyway, why not reference to that theme?!

LOL yes it's unique in that most of the sales I see state what the sale is... how much off, what specific discounts, etc. But as this is a manufacturer that is not selling direct and the dealers set their own sales price I can see how this would be difficult to publish a lot of details.
you can get it

AeroTech has a webstore, don't they?
I didn't think that they sold more than a handful of products direct.
